See History Up Close and Personal
Guided tours in summer and winter
The Park City Historical Society leads summertime tours of the historic sites around town at 2pm, Monday through Friday(weather permitting) . You can see mines where fortunes were made and the jail where miners who celebrated a bit too much slept it off. It’s history up close and personal, and it’s a great alternative and/or compliment to a trip to the Park City Museum.
History also comes on skis with a skiing tour of the historic sites and markers at Deer Valley and Park City Mountain Resort. You can do-it-yourself with casual stops whenever you see a mine building or marker on the side of the slopes, or you can take a guided tour courtesy of the resorts.
