Movies
Sundance is famous, but there is even more to the movie scene here.
The Utah/US Film Festival started in Utah in 1978, was moved to Park City in 1981, and, rechristened as Sundance Film Festival under the leadership of Robert Redford, it has become the most famous film festival in the country. But Park City has lots of movie options the rest of the year as well.
Redstone 8 Cinemas, and the Holiday Village Cinemas in Bonanza Park show first
run movies. The Park City Film Series tends to show the more avant-garde and
ever popular mountain themed movies, many of which happened to be filmed right
here in Utah.
