An Olympic Town
Half of the events for the Salt Lake games in 2002 were actually held in Park City.
In 2002 the Moguls events, Aerials, and Slalom competition were held at Deer Valley Resort. The Giant Slalom, the Snowboard GS, and the Snowboard Half Pipe were held at Park City Mountain Resort. The Luge, Skeleton, Bobsled, and Ski Jumping events were held at Utah Olympic Park. And the Canyons hosted the Today Show that broadcasted every morning during The Games. In all, about half of the Salt Lake Olympic Games actually took place right here in Park City. And the legacy is a winter sports mecca unequalled anywhere in the world.
